under supervision. The boys who compete for these pupfi teacherships are of a good stamp, and improvement is noticeable in the class of teachers who are being turned out by the Normal Class. These teachers after completing their 3 years' course must attend evening classes at the Technical Institute for at least another 3 years, after which their education is considered complete. It is generally admitted that by these means a cheap and not inefficient type of Assistant Master has been evolved.
